Packing List
What to bring for camp.
This list is written for the two-week session. Short-session campers only need enough clothing for one week.

Important notes
- ·Label your child’s full name on all items, either with labels or laundry markers.
- ·Weather at camp varies and may be chilly at times, so pack accordingly.
- ·Laundry service will not be offered this year, except once during the session for campers flying from out of town.
- ·Pack in proper luggage: suitcases, backpacks, or duffel bags marked with the camper’s first and last name.
- ·Plastic garbage bags in place of proper luggage are strongly discouraged.
- ·SAC is not responsible for lost belongings.
Mandatory items
Boys
- 3-5 kippot
- Tefillin for Bar Mitzvah age and older, in a protective case or zip pouch
- Talit optional depending on family custom, in a protective case or pouch
- 2-4 Shabbat outfits: khaki-type pants and collared shirts
Girls
- 2-4 Shabbat outfits: skirts or dresses
All campers
- 1-2 water bottles with name marked clearly
- 1-2 hats
- Sunscreen and bug repellent
Bedding, towels & gear
- Sleeping bag, ideally in a protective sack, jumbo Ziploc, or plastic bag
- Blanket that fits a twin bunk; camp can get chilly at night
- 2 fitted sheets, twin size
- 2 pillow cases
- 1 pillow, packed in luggage or enclosed in a protective bag
- 4 large towels: 2 shower and 2 pool
- 1-2 face or hand towels
- Flashlight and extra batteries
- Backpack for field trips and the overnight
Toiletries & swim
- Toiletries: soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, deodorant
- Portable plastic shower caddy for toiletries
- 2-3 swimsuits
- Water shoes or flip flops
- Swim goggles
- 1 bathrobe, optional for walking to and from showers
General items
- Large laundry bag labeled with camper's name
- 18 pairs of underwear
- 20 pairs of socks
- 6 shorts
- 6-10 jeans, pants, sweatpants, or casual skirts
- 16 T-shirts
- 3 sweatshirts or sweaters
- 1 light-to-medium jacket with hood
- 4-5 pairs pajamas
- 1 pair walking shoes; sneakers are fine
- Hiking shoes, optional but recommended for hikes and long walks
- Israeli swag, shirts, or hat for Israel Day
- Inexpensive or disposable camera
- Books or magazines; pre-loved books may be donated to the SAC Lending Library
- Water toys or squirt guns
- Self-addressed stamped envelopes
- Letter writing supplies: pens, paper, envelopes, stamps
- Musical instruments, optional
Dress code
Boys
- ·T-shirts or long sleeve shirts
- ·Kippah or baseball hat worn at all times
- ·Pants or shorts
- ·For Shabbat, include a nicer shirt and pants, such as button down or polo and khakis or slacks
- ·Tank tops are not permitted
- ·Sports jerseys without sleeves are permitted during sports only
Girls
- ·Short sleeve or long sleeve shirts that cover the shoulder and do not show cleavage
- ·Skirts and shorts approaching the knee
- ·Jeans, sweatpants, and shorts that approach the knee
- ·For Shabbat, include a skirt or dress knee length or longer, covering shoulders, and not revealing
- ·Tank tops and cap sleeves are not permitted
- ·Mini skirts and short shorts are not permitted
All campers
- ·Language and images on clothing must be appropriate.
- ·Clothing with inappropriate language will be held by staff and returned on the last day of camp.
