Sephardic Baking (and Cooking) at SAC

SAC wouldn’t be SAC without the Sephardic Baking activities that bring out the delicious part of our unique heritage and culture.  Again this year we were lucky enough to have Nona Jeanne Maimon join us to teach a Yapraka making chug!  Our campers and staff just LOVE to bake (and eat) our traditional Sephardic delicacies!

We also had a chance to make Biscochos con Huevos in all different fun shapes. Some of our campers even had a chance to make tasty savory cheese boyicos.

We are so appreciative of Al and Jeanne Maimon for visiting us at SAC to share their knowledge and warmth with us!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank three families who generously sponsored our Sephardic Baking program.

Josh Benezra rolls a Yaprak, (stuffed grape leaf).

Our 2018 Sephardic Baking Sponsors are:

      Marc and Lori Ben-Ezra

      Bension and Michelle DeFunis

      Josh and Elana Zana

We are so grateful to these families and our other sponsors for their generous and ongoing support of SAC!
