Day 5: Rainbows and thunderstorms and mountains, oh my!
Yesterday, I had the privilege of teaching the G1 and G2 girls during shiurim time. As we progress through our #blessed theme, we were learning about the atypical brachot that are said over the course of a year. We discussed the brachot of thunder and lightening, a rainbow, seeing a large mountain and even a president. The girls then had the opportunity to be in the SAC Rabbinate, where they got to create and formulate a new bracha. Here are some of their responses:
- Thank you Hashem for the rain, because it makes all of our food grow
- Thank you Hashem for cold water after a hot activity
- Thank you Hashem for good friends
- Thank you Hashem for the moon that gives light in the woods at night
- Thank you Hashem for people who are over 100 years old
- Thank you Hashem for medicine to make me feel better

We are all prepping for a wonderful shabbat here at camp, which highlights the end of our amazing week! With borekas donated from the sisterhood and meat donated from the brotherhood, we should have a full-filling Shabbat!
