Parents — I can’t believe one week has flown by up here in sunny Shelton, WA. It started out with some serious rain, but even more serious energy at camp. This week has been filled with many memorable experiences- some new to SAC and some old. Campers enjoyed making wind-chimes in Art, Baklava on Israel Day, they are enjoying Joha stories with Chacham in “Avraham and Sarah’s Tent” and building their volleyball skills with their counselors.
Counselors have been amazing caretakers, telling their campers bedtime stories, helping them to be on time to activities, applying sunscreen throughout the day and drinking tons of water. Most of all, they are doing an amazing job giving your kids a safe and incredible experience at SAC.
Our campers have been loving the waterfront during these hot days. Our very own, Tui Cohanim has been supervising kayaking, paddle boating, water basketball and free swim in Lost Lake.
Campers have been breaking out into sporadic song and dance during mealtimes, whether it’s our traditional camp song, Ojo de’ Hamsa, Ivdu Et Hashem, or Matisyahu. We know one thing for sure – SAC campers know how to dance and have a great time.
With one week left of camp, we look forward to filling our time with continued growth, memorable experiences and Sephardic Adventures, of course.
Yours truly,
Chana Adatto-Shefa
